Doctors Discuss SPG Blocks: Their First Personal Experience with Sphenopalatine Ganglion Blocks.

I recently taught a course in Sphenopalatine Ganglion Blocks in Seattle Washington to Neuromuscular Dentists. After the 90 minute lecture close to 100 doctors and their teams lined up to have SPG Blocks.

This first Video is a dentist who has been in pain most of her life. She does not remember even a single day where she was out of pain since she was 14 years old. The SPG Block was done with a Sphenocath Device. I usually prefer to use cotton tipped nasal catheters for home use but that was not possible due to a narrow nasal passage.

The Second Dentist is a well known Canadian Dentist Known for his expertise in reconstructive dentistry. He had a headache which was relieved almost instantaneously after the SPG Block. He does complement me on the course I gave right before the block.

The next video is a Tennessee dentist who has swelling and discomfort around his eye as well as other eye issues. He was treated with cotton-tipped nasal catheters.

The fourth Dentist came to Seattle meeting specifically for my lecture. I utilized the cotton tipped nasal catheters with 2% lidocaine. He wants to use SPG Blocks on his patients, his team and his family. This is one day after the block and the relief on day two is better than on day one. His jaw pain is better but so is his hip and back pain better. He is sitting all day in lectures that usually makes the pain worse but now it is getting continually better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TS23MBniX4E

All of these doctors are excellent when it comes to treating pain in their patients. Chronic pain often continues after the cause is corrected. Resetting the autonomic nervous system allows chronic pain to be successfully treated. Sympathetic maintained pain is a leading cause of CRPS also called Causalgia.

These blocks also work to treat anxiety and depression often associated with chronic pain.
